our projects

Empower Indigenous and Local Communities

The Tanzania Conservation Resource Community (CRC) works collaboratively to conserve critical habitats by implementing community-driven land use planning, specifically targeting the challenges and opportunities within community territories. This detailed approach is centered on engaging communities to jointly design and adopt comprehensive land use plans that strategically zone areas for wildlife movement, grazing, and settlement….

Biodiversity Conservation

This initiative is designed to bolster regional ecosystem health and resilience by integrating ecological restoration efforts, such as targeted afforestation and forest rehabilitation, with sustainable rangeland management protocols that harmonize the needs of critical wildlife populations and adjacent human communities. Furthermore, the project commits to advancing evidence-based conservation by providing robust support and collaboration opportunities for wildlife researchers, ensuring all management decisions are informed by the highest standard of scientific data and knowledge.

Conservation of Natural Resources

This project’s core objective is to significantly improve regional ecosystem resilience by merging conservation science with practical land management. Key activities involve implementing strategic ecological restoration, specifically through targeted afforestation and the repair of degraded forest areas. Concurrently, the initiative establishes and upholds sustainable rangeland management protocols that successfully balance the needs of vital wildlife populations with those of local human communities. Crucially, the project’s long-term success is ensured by prioritizing data-driven conservation, providing robust, collaborative support to wildlife researchers to ensure all management strategies are based on the latest scientific knowledge and evidence.

Philanthropic Support for Indigenous and Local Communities

This philanthropic initiative is strategically designed to foster long-term resilience and enhance the quality of life within indigenous and local communities. The project centers on two interconnected pillars: Educational Empowerment and Infrastructure Enhancement. Empowerment is achieved through the systematic provision of essential learning resources—including books, teaching materials, and technology—to local schools and community centers. Infrastructure Enhancement involves the renovation and strategic improvement of critical educational, social, and economic facilities, thereby expanding community access to vital services and ensuring sustained well-being and economic opportunity.
